I pull away
You reach for me, and I pull away
There is nothing more I want to say
I want to bask in my sorrow of this moment
I want to wallow in the mire of discontent
Your reach for me and touch me every day
You want to hold my heart in yours as we sway
I push you aside to fill my prideful prism
Stopping the internal chaticism
You tell me you love me as I cry
I look into the mirror and wonder why
Tainted from the slumber of my burnt soul
You reach for me, you make me whole
I try to not give in to your warm embrace
Then I witness the love written on your face
You forgive me for my humanistic traits
You bring me from the depths of sorrows straights
I witness your internal glow
Then my love for you does grow
How this anger does subside
You bring me from my foolish pride
You reach for me and I fall in
Into the arms of love where happiness may begin
